My own Dark Side

The Dark Side is a photographic project that began in 2022 as an introspective journey.

Through evocative, almost dreamlike mountain images, I explore and reveal the most hidden side of my personality, an inner dimension that, to some extent, we all possess.

The photographs in the project represent a personal interpretation of landscapes that exist and yet don’t exist at the same time, of real and yet imaginary places. The intense post-production process amplifies light, shadows and contrasts, creating mysterious and haunting atmospheres, dark and ghostly tones while the blue shift imparts cool tones to the image.

Not all scenes lend themselves to this kind of processing; however, with the camera in hand, I instinctively recognize those that resonate with this vision.

The Dark Side is an evolving project, enriched over time without a defined cadence, with new images emerging when conditions and inspiration align.

All the photographs currently included in the project were taken in the Dolomites.
